Carlos Alcaraz reclaimed the US Open title with a commanding four-set victory over Jannik Sinner, winning 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in a final that highlighted their growing rivalry. The 22-year-old Spaniard, who also captured the French Open earlier this year, delivered a dominant serving performance to secure his sixth Grand Slam title and regain the world No. 1 ranking. The match marked the fifth final between the two this season, with each player now holding two major titles in 2025.
The final was delayed by 30 minutes due to enhanced security measures caused by U.S. President Donald Trump's attendance at Flushing Meadows. Despite the disruption, both players stayed focused, but it was Alcaraz who set the tone early and never lost control. Sinner showed flashes of his best in the second set, but struggled with consistency and unforced errors, especially in the latter stages. Alcaraz sealed victory with a 131mph ace, celebrating with his signature golf swing in front of a packed Arthur Ashe Stadium.
