BTS Announce 2026–27 World Tour After Military Hiatus

Global K-pop superstars BTS have announced their return with a massive 2026–27 world tour, ending a nearly four-year hiatus as all seven members complete South Korea’s mandatory military service. According to a statement released on Wednesday, the tour will begin in April 2026 in South Korea and run through March 2027, featuring more than 70 shows across Asia, North America, South America, Australia and Europe. It will be the group’s first headline tour since their 2021–22 Permission to Dance on Stage concerts.

A presale for official fanclub members (ARMY Membership holders) will take place on 22 and 23 January via Weverse, the online fan platform owned by BTS’s parent company Hybe. General ticket sales for all regions will open on 24 January. The tour announcement follows confirmation from BigHit Music that BTS will officially return to music on 20 March 2026. The group paused activities in 2022 as members RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook and j-hope fulfilled national service obligations. Rapper Suga was the final member to complete his duties in June 2025, serving as a social service agent due to a shoulder injury, while the remaining six served in the army.

The world tour will span major cities including Seoul, Tokyo, London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, São Paulo, Sydney and Melbourne, alongside stops across Southeast Asia and Latin America. Full tour dates have been released by the band, with concerts scheduled throughout 2026 and early 2027. Fans worldwide have welcomed the announcement, marking one of the most highly anticipated comebacks in global pop music.
