Quiet Luxury: Simplicity or Subtle Status Symbol?
Quiet luxury celebrates elegance without excess—but is it true confidence or just another trend hiding in minimalism?
Google has unveiled a major upgrade to Chrome, introducing AI-powered features designed to make browsing faster, safer, and more productive. The revamped browser now integrates Gemini in Chrome, an AI assistant that can summarize articles, answer questions across multiple tabs, and even locate previously visited pages. Rolling out first to Mac and Windows users in the U.S., Gemini will also extend to Android and iOS soon, offering cross-device assistance. Chrome’s omnibox, or address bar, is also getting an AI boost with AI Mode, enabling users to ask complex, multi-part questions directly while browsing.
Contextual suggestions will appear based on the page being viewed, such as warranty details while shopping. Security remains a key focus. Chrome will use AI to autofill credentials securely, block scams, detect compromised passwords, and reduce spammy notifications—already preventing around 3 billion unwanted alerts daily on Android. Google says the update marks a shift from a “passive browsing experience” to an intelligent partner that adapts to users’ needs, aiming to make the web more intuitive, safe, and efficient.
